Cultural sensitization: Brazilian girls!!!!

"As many have liked this article and requested me to reload, here it is for your ready reference. Thanks a lot for your appreciation and confronting."

Well, I have been enough long in Brazil and I came across a few girls during my stay and what the apparent differences I could make in girls from Brazil and India, I am noting down here...

It is indeed funny and useful to know them in this way! They are much open and broad minded as we all know and expect. They are independent and confident. Beautiful of course!! They care too much about their appearances and physics. Even when there face is not gracious, there physics is enough to take your wicket. In short confident, independent and beautiful...

But as there is a lot of difference between Indian and Brazilian culture, the way they behave can be very different for us. We are likely to be clean bold at the very first acquaintance with any Brazilian girl. She is likely to ask you, your name and country and after knowing that, that you are an Indian (the country is immaterial in this case) they will scream like "Injiano" and are just going to hug you closely and kiss you on your cheeks and before you come out of the shock they expect you to do the same without waiting!!!!!! Then you start with the communication saying this is not normal to us and they will entertain you a bit thinking how weird we are!! Then as you go along talking to them you are going to come across the following weapons which these girls use, so be aware. Here I am listing out the things they usually say (and do not mean) with actually what they intend to say.

So the first one is: "I like you"
This sentence is likely to come after 15 min of your first communication with any girl. This means you are not that bad and I can drag it further to next meeting with you!!!

Second one is: "I like the way you live/look/smile/ wear dress/ etc"
This is the sentence to just drag your attention to them and make you remember that you need to praise them as well. This also indicates that she is still in doubt about a relationship with you but you are not that bad to neglect you at first go!!!!

Third one is "I love you"
This is the statement which can come after second or third meet. Be aware!! This is just not the love, this can be friendship love, acquaintance love, kissing love (meaning she will love to kiss you and nothing else) or even nothing!! This can be said to anybody she met in last few days and she will not mind having a short term relationship with him. She can use this statement indifferently with many at different times and different locations!!

Forth one: "I want to see you / I can't wait to see you"

This means she wants to meet you and as there is no other exiting plan yet fixed for weekend, so why don't you come and entertain me a little?

Fifth one: "I miss you so much"
This means there is nobody else right now talking to her, television is passing boring things, still there is some time to go to party and she do not know what to do, nobody is around and she came across your no in phone-book contacts. So do not fly.

After some meets like this, if you are really really nice to her and she has not came across anybody better than you, you will come across more weapons as you will proceed with relationships. She can be only one for you, but for her there can be many like you. So when she prefers someone else over you, the things will start changing like this:

The first one: "We are different" (In attachment with I still like you)
This means I like you for what you are, but you are not the one I want.

The second one: "Don't you think that you r not talking care of ur looks now a days?"(In attachment with I still like the way you live/look/smile/ wear dress/ etc)
It means you look nice and you have got a style but now I know one more who is more stylish!!

The third one: "We should find out our own ways" (In attachment with I still love you)
This is like I got my choice (or say better option) and you should let me live happily with him.

The forth one: "I am busy this weekend" (In attachment with I want to see you / I can't wait to see you)
This means I could have found some time for you, but I have more exiting plans than meeting you.

The fifth one: "I miss you so much"
This is after you tried to meet her and she couldn't and you still missing her since long and then called her and she says this. This is like keeping a way back to you. They do not like close it at once, may be they need you back again!!

Here it is very normal to engage and disengage in relationships unlike India. Also I must mention that Brazil has made a great progress to invent a lubrication which makes this engagement and disengagement so smooth that people just move on so easily. So it is a nice country to have fun but if you are serious about it then better play safe.

Disclaimer: This article is meant for fun and based on observations in close vicinities where I have been in Brazil includes experiences of self, friends, local people and covers majority. Not all girls are like this here. I personally know few who dis-prove my own write-up above.

My first Diwali away from home!!!

Diwali is the most important festival in India. Every Diwali I have been always at home. But this time I was supposed to be in Brazil at the time of Diwali. I became nervous. But then I decided I will only miss the people and not the festival. So I stared with preparations for Diwali well a month before. Enthusiasm started flowing in nerves as it flows in India and this was really special because I was going to celebrate it well away from my country and culture but in my own way!!

I used to do a "yagya" every Diwali. It required naturally dried cow-dunk. There was a lot of that on site in Paracuru. I grabbed one of that and without getting noticed by anybody I kept it in hotel room. I brought candles as the replacement to "Diyas". Then I also got "aggarbatties". I went out for mango leaves and noted a location from where I can have them.
"The Toran"
Then the day "Dhantrayodashi" came and I put mango leaves on the gates of my hotel room. This was crazy thing for hotel cleaning staff. They could not control their laugh but then I explained them that it is a part of our culture. I went to market in evening, purchased a notebook and a pen. Next day I took printout of "Maa Saraswati, Maa Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha" together and pasted it on the front page of notebook. In evening I lighted the candles and prayed as per rituals to Maa Lakshmi to celebrate "Chhoti Diwali". I have been peaceful in Diwalis since few years. So although crackers were available, I did not buy them.
On the day of "Lakshmipoojan", I took off from work. Took an "Abhyang snan" waking up early in morning and started with prayers and mantras. Then I went to market to purchase things for yagya and pooja. I brought five types of fruits, five types of flowers, red roses, honey, curd, milk, suger, dry fruits, etc. After I came home, I asked hotel staff for heating the butter as I was knowing that I will not be able to get "Ghee" here.
"The aadhunik yagya-kund"
I decided to close the windows and do yagya inside the room as I saw expressions of hotel staff after they saw mango leaves!! But as I used butter instead of "ghee", it made a lot of smoke and soon I needed to open the windows and they could just imagine that my room was on fire!!! I explained them with great efforts that it is not an accident and I mean to do this!!! Really it was not at all a good idea!! The filters of AC of the room needed to be cleaned, several times later!!
"Chooti Diwali""The yagya pooja-Badi Diwali"
Later in the evening I performed the "Lakshipoojan" and I got a great satisfaction. Although I was far from home and people, I have not missed the great day!! It has been very special Diwali as I did it in full swing as I wanted too!!

Brazilian food and me!!!!!

I have been strictly vegetarian in my life till the date and I intend to be through out in my life. The day I reached Brazil I was not knowing a single word of Portuguese and I was only accompanied by Niraj who has been here for just few days before me. He showed me what veggie options I have and a thought came in my mind that life seems hard here. What I could have from the menu was white rice, noodles or salad. I thought it is impossible to drag it this way. But as I preferred to come by my choice and interest and also I prefer to be veggie as well, I decided to take it as an "Wrat (Rule)" and enjoy whatever I can eat. But as I started living here in Brazil soon I realized that food is not that bad what I thought of and I have many options to eat as well. It was just a matter of some words to learn and teach them to cook the way I wanna eat it! It was simple, either you change the system or you change yourself and I prefer always to change the system!

Before I came I was having an idea of what I will face here more or less. So my luggage was packed up with the maximum possible food options. I took pickle which has helped me a lot during my first days when I had white rice with boiled potatoes for few days. I was also packed with snacks because I knew I will miss it. During first trip to Brazil my preparations helped me a lot. For next trip, I was having customized food down here to the extent that I even felt that carrying anything is not necessary now.

There at every site I worked, I customized my food to the extent that it was absolutely unnecessary to order the food for me. All the staff of restaurants were knowing what I wanna eat. Even all the dishes which I customized and ate were famous with my name. Call it Baba arroz (Baba rice), Baba speggetti (Baba noodles) or Baba pizza!!!! It was amzing that few restaurants added that in menu card as Indian food!!!
The food in Brazil is just full of meat. But I just loved it by taking meat out of it. The food is not as spicy as in India but it is reasonable in taste and there are enough spices to give a good taste to your mouth. I even started loving Brazilian food to the extent that when I reached India after completing 11 months in Brazil for the first 3 days in Pune I just missed the food a cook used to cook for me there in Icarai site. I still get puzzled that it was her love for me or the taste in food that I missed her so much!!!!
I loved the Brazilian food and only thing which I felt is incomplete here is break-fast. I personally never had bread-butter-jam, fruits, juices, etc as break-fast. I never missed a lunch or dinner of India. But everyday I miss the Indian break-fast. My beloved tea!!!!!!!!! But it is alright now.

Just few pictures of the Brazilian food I am adding here for you all to just get a crux of actual instead of my customized.
Mouth watering na(Obviously for meat monsters) [ha ha ha]!!!!!!!!!!
